Turizm Databank’ın Kültür ve Turizm Bakanlığı tarafından açıklanan veriden aldığı bilgiye göre, 2024 yılının Ocak-Mayıs döneminde İstanbul’a yurtdışından gelen toplam ziyaretçi sayısı % 10 artarak 6,92 milyonu aştı. 2023’te 6,27 milyon ziyaretçi gelmişti.
Bu dönemde, İstanbul’a en çok turist 798 bin aşan rakamla Rusya’dan geldi. Fakat bu rakam geçtiğimiz yıla göre % 4,5 geriledi.
Onu 535 binle Almanya, 429 binle İran, 299 binle İngiltere ve 300 binle ABD izledi. Rusya’dan sonra Irak, Fas gibi bazı pazarlar da geriledi.
